Senior UI Designer // Charter Communications

Spectrum Mobile introduced Charter as a presence in the wireless communication sector. In just 8 months, we launched a fully accessible website and app – a company first – and our team became a model for lean design.

As the native app’s lead UI designer, I was responsible for both Android and iOS designs. I worked closely with our remote development team and accessibility partners to ensure that our apps followed native patterns and accessibility best practices.

The first design iteration mirrored My Spectrum, our pre-existing account management app. Following the launch, I implemented significant design improvements that aligned more closely with native app experiences, improved accessibility and systemized design.

The new designs were absorbed into the over-arching design system to fill the gap in native components. They also integrated seamlessly into My Spectrum to achieve consistency between the two apps.
