Principal Product Designer // Charter Communications

Kite is Charter’s multi-platform design system for digital products.

My early effort of defining TV standards led to a grassroots collaboration with a small group of product designers from other platforms.

Together, we defined basic styles and the visual identity for our entire suite of digital products. We proved the need for a centralized design system and Kite became an official team in 2017.

My unique experience of launching multiple products across several different platforms made me a natural fit for systems design and I joined the Kite team in 2020. As both lead designer and product owner for the Android, iOS and TV platforms, I’m responsible for strategic planning for each program, maintaining all three UI kits, writing design documentation, seeking out new consumers and supporting existing ones.

The system and the team that supports it has gone through several evolutions and we continue to mature along with our consumers. Our proprietary work is still in progress so check back soon for examples.
